Eden Roc is a luxurious 5 star boutique hotel-resort with nearly perfect reviews from past guests. There is a variety of dining options - casual to formal.
Resort highlights include hiking the cliffs, private pools with grottos, Solaya Spa, Koko kid's club, 3 Jack Nicklaus golf courses and Scape Park. Scape Park includes a number of things like zip-line and natural lagoon. There's also a marina and beautiful beach.
Reviewers love that they give you a private golf cart (but you may want to check if that's included in all pacakges), they say it's great for a honeymoon and families, many point out that it's very private and has great staff. Reviews are almost always perfect and past guests love this resort!
One of the best resorts in Puerto Plata, Casa Colonial Resort is on a private beach and not far from the airport. There are around 50 suites decorated with "old world charm and modern elegance."
Resort highlights include a spa (with Indigenous and European treatments), rooftop infinity pool, spa tubs, fitness centre, 2 restaurants plus others close by and an adjacent golf course.
Reviewers say it's perfect for "discerning travelers", meets expectations, staff are great and not intrusive, price is great, service spectacular, beach is well kept and peaceful but not the most amazing beach ever, accommodations nicer than website, "every detail of the hotel was perfection." Many 5/5 ratings.

Paradisus Palma Real is a luxury all inclusive resort. It's on the great Bavaro Beach and offers an exclusive Royal Service option. This includes things like an exclusive pool and butler service.
There is a restaurant with Chef Martin Berasategui who has 7 Michelin stars and is a world class chef. If you're a foodie, we haven't found anything else similar in the DR.
Resort highlights include a YHI Spa, unlimited golf, casino, 3 pools, entertainment and sports programs. For families there's a kids club, multi adventure club and kids pools among other things. It's also a great spot for a wedding.

A great luxury all inclusive resort for families! Paradisus Punta cana is set within ecological gardens and at the time of writing, kids stay free.
Set on the Punta Cana Beach it's a large resort with nearly 700 rooms. There are 5 pools for adults and 2 for children. You have have unlimited golf, drinks, international dining, and the YHI Spa. It's also a great resort for meetings and events or a wedding.
Reviews are excellent for this resort. Family's give great feedback as do those who have been married at this resort. Service is really great also. A great Dominican Republic luxury resort!
