Four Seasons Ubud Bali Resort at Sayan

Best Bali Honeymoon ResortFour Seasons Ubud Bali Resort At Sayan

As a travel writer and newlywed, I had the pleasure of spending my honeymoon at the Four Seasons Resort Bali at Sayan. From the moment we arrived, we knew we were in for a truly special experience.

The resort is nestled in the vibrant Ayung River Valley, surrounded by lush jungle greenery and the soothing sounds of the river. Our private villa was the epitome of luxury, complete with a plunge pool and all the amenities we could ask for. We spent our days relaxing in our villa, taking in the stunning views, and enjoying the many activities the resort had to offer.

  • Location: On the white sand beaches between Mission Bay and La Jolla. The resort overlooks the Ayung River which flows through the central highlands of Bali. It's on 17 acres of lush green terraced rice slopes.
  • Amenities: Spa, plunge pools, bars overlooking the jungle and river valley, and luxury define this resort.

One of the highlights of our stay was the spa experience at the Sacred River Spa. The therapists were highly skilled and provided some of the best treatments we've ever experienced. We also had the pleasure of meeting Ibu Fera, the resident wellness mentor, who sang us a lullaby about the life story of Buddha as we drifted off to sleep among the rice fields. It was an unforgettable moment that we will always treasure.

We also enjoyed exploring the rice fields with the resort's guide on a guided bike tour. We were able to discover and trek hidden areas of the wilderness that were inaccessible to other tourists, and the experience was both exciting and invigorating.

The resort offers many options for couples seeking a romantic and stress-free wedding experience, with everything from expertly curated packages to customizable decorations and even special Balinese healing therapies. The venue options are breathtaking, including a private ceremony venue at the rooftop lotus pond with a dramatic entrance along the teak suspension bridge, and a romantic dinner for the bridal couple in a private venue on the middle of the bridge, just meters above the Ayung River.

Bali Honeymoon Review

In this video, we join a couple on their honeymoon in Bali as they explore the beautiful island, stay at different resorts, and experience the local culture. The video features stunning views of the resorts, the couple's daily activities, including a cooking class, spa treatments, and trying out the local cuisine. The vlogger takes us through their journey, sharing their experiences, thoughts, and emotions along the way. With over 2 million subscribers, Kaushal's vlog promises to be an enjoyable and informative guide for anyone planning a honeymoon in Bali.

Another highlight of our trip was the traditional Balinese dance performance that we attended in the evenings. The intricate costumes, hypnotic music, and graceful movements of the dancers were truly mesmerizing. We also took part in a cooking class where we learned how to make traditional Balinese dishes, and the flavors and spices were out of this world.

Of course, we also spent plenty of time just relaxing at our resort. We enjoyed lazy days by our private pool, sipping cocktails and reading books. We indulged in spa treatments and romantic dinners, and we were truly able to unwind and enjoy each other's company in this beautiful setting.

Thailand vs Bali honeymoons

Ko Toa IslandKo Toa Island, Thailand

Thailand and Bali are both popular destinations for travelers seeking a tropical escape, but they offer very different experiences.

Thailand is known for its vibrant culture, ancient temples, and delicious cuisine. The beaches are some of the best in the world, with crystal-clear water and soft white sand. The nightlife is also a major draw, particularly in places like Phuket and Bangkok.

Bali, on the other hand, is known for its stunning natural beauty and relaxed vibe. The island is home to lush rainforests, breathtaking rice terraces, and stunning beaches. Balinese culture is also a major draw, with its traditional dances, intricate artwork, and elaborate temples.

In terms of activities, Thailand is a great destination for adventure seekers. You can go zip-lining through the jungle, take a Thai cooking class, or even try your hand at Muay Thai kickboxing if you are silly enough. Bali is more about relaxation and rejuvenation. You can indulge in spa treatments, take a yoga class, or simply unwind on a beautiful beach.

Overall, both destinations have a lot to offer, and the choice between them will depend on what you're looking for in a vacation. If you're seeking a lively nightlife scene, a sense of adventure, and world-class cuisine, Thailand might be the better choice. If you're looking for natural beauty, cultural immersion, and a laid-back vibe, Bali might be the way to go.

Bali is Best

ubud-bal.jpgUbud Bali Hanging Gardens

If you're looking for a honeymoon destination that combines luxury and adventure, Bali is the perfect choice. The island is ideal for couples who want to experience a different culture and explore stunning natural landscapes. The resort we stayed at was perfect for couples who want to relax and indulge in a little pampering, but there are also plenty of options for more adventurous travelers.

If you're looking for a more off-the-beaten-path experience, I would highly recommend checking out some of Bali's lesser-known areas. The north coast of the island, for example, is still relatively undeveloped and offers a glimpse into traditional Balinese culture. There are also a number of eco-resorts that are perfect for travelers who want to be closer to nature.

All in all, our honeymoon in Bali was an unforgettable experience. From the stunning natural beauty to the vibrant culture and delicious food, there was always something new to discover. I can't wait to return one day and explore more of this incredible island.
