Water park for the little ones

When this resort was added (Dec 2007) it took over the Kalahari Resort to become Americas largest indoor waterpark. With thousands of square feet of fun water activities including:

    * A racing, face forward slide with a 55 degree hill.
    * A slide that can rotate up to 5 people
    * Body Slides
    * Surf Slides with lessons available
    * Water toys for children 6 and under with a basketball pool
    * Wave Pools
    * Basketball Pools.
    * Raft slides,for up to five
    * 920 foot artificial river

Other Activities at the Kalahari Resort

Kid's Zone

There are a number of other amenities at this resort. The Spa Kalahari and Salon offers a number of body treatments, massages and skin care.

There is also a fitness center, create your own pottery, a gift and sweet shop and more. The Kid's Zone which throws kids dance parties and "safari expeditions", gives you the chance to have a little quiet time. For the golfers there's the Trappers Turn Golf Course.

The three major restaurants, The Reserve, Great Karoo and Kahunaville Restaurant and Bar, are worth a mention for the praise they are receiving in reviews. All the regular pastry and coffee shops you would want are here and up to standard.

Accommodations

In total, there are 884 guestrooms. The 288 African looking guestrooms are a departure from the usual resort experience. All have the usual features you would expect as well as refrigerators and microwaves. In a welcome break from recent trends, the high speed internet is complimentary.

Accommodation types range from 2-10 bedroom suites (which covers 2 floors and takes up to 36 guests).
