Location: This sophisticated trendy hotel is three miles from La Jolla. Close to where surf competitions are.  Amenities: Minimal design, near nightlife, the Tower Deck has teak chaise lounges, a Zen garden, cocktail service on the terrace, fire pit, wireless high speed Internet down to the beach, a business center, a coffee shop and complimentary newspapers in the lobby.

Reviews: Lower quality than all other resorts on this page. This one is for the family that wants a resort experience in San Diego. Not all like it and some compare it to three star hotels. Reviews: This one gets outstanding superlatives from the guests that have stayed here recently. Over the top recommendations from families and luxury lovers alike.
